At age 3, Savannah Elizabeth Olson was diagnosed with Wilm's Tumor, a childhood kidney cancer. She was treated at Advocate Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL, where she formed bonds with the medical staff and other patients. When Savannah completed treatment, she celebrated by taking her wish trip on a Disney cruise and to Walt Disney World®.

Though in remission for over a year, Savannah's cancer recurred. Savannah declared to her doctors that she would beat the cancer again! She held true to her promise and completed 8 months of treatment. Savannah's family celebrated her second victory by honoring her hope to return to Walt Disney World®!

Savannah relapsed twice after that. She visited Walt Disney World® both times to ease the emotional suffering. Savannah died the 6th day following the return from her last trip. She had battled cancer for over three years.

Savannah found the magic of Disney offered her a chance to be a normal kid, to meet her favorite Disney princesses and to bond with her family.

Savannah was also fond of shopping, making art and riding her bike. She loved taking and framing photos, dancing ballet and organizing parties. Her favorite subject was math. And like many children with major health concerns, Savannah wrote stories.

Despite the hardships of cancer, Savannah fought with grace and viewed the world as a beautiful place.
